About the Programme
The (Diploma) covers a wide range of topics and provides you with a good understanding of health promotion modules. You will develop awareness and knowledge of key concepts relating to Health education and health promotion. The course introduces you to the key principles and methods within health promotion.
You will learn the main approaches that can be used in implementing health education and promotion at individual, community and policy development levels. The college training provides students with a one-year internship programme. This gives you the opportunity to gain experience and skills in your chosen field.
AOCMST work with experienced academic staff and professionals. Students will be given tutorials and practical experiences to make them employable after the completion of their study .
OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRMAME
Upon completion of the programme, graduates will be able to:
Relate the basic health sciences and apply this knowledge in health promotion education Perform the role of health education specialist in communities, conducting health promotion education programmes effectively by proper application of concepts, principle, objectives and approaches of health promotion.
Become effective communicators for advocacy in health promotion education in the community Plan, implement and execute health promotion education programmes in communities by positive and constructive attitudes in the identified health problems.
